Possible Water Hazards: Monitoring of River and Coastal Conditions in Oriental Mindoro

Oriental Mindoro – The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction Management Office (PDRRMO) is continuously vigilant, leading the monitoring efforts of all rivers and coastal areas in the province to ensure the safety of its residents.

As of the latest update, the following river levels have been reported:

  1. Alag River, Baco – Critical Level
  2. Longos River, Baco – Normal Level
  3. Panggalaan River, Calapan City – Orange Level
  4. Bucayao River, Calapan City – Orange Level

The critical level of Alag River in Baco has prompted authorities to closely monitor its situation to prevent potential flooding and ensure the safety of communities residing near its banks.

Meanwhile, Longos River in Baco is currently at a normal level, which indicates a stable condition that does not pose any immediate threats.

Panggalaan River and Bucayao River in Calapan City are at orange level, suggesting a heightened state of alertness as water levels are closely monitored for any changes or signs of potential danger.

The PDRRMO emphasizes its commitment to public safety and urges residents to remain vigilant and stay informed about the river and coastal conditions in their respective areas. In case of special needs or emergencies, individuals can contact the PDRRMO directly or leave comments for assistance. The Governor’s office and all Capitol offices remain open to address concerns.

The Provincial Government of Oriental Mindoro, through the PDRRMO, continues to work diligently to protect its communities and promptly respond to any emergency situations.
