TINGLOY, Batangas – A new infrastructure project is expected to boost tourism and economic activities in this fifth-class municipality.
Batangas 2nd District Rep. Gerville Luistro said in an interview Sunday afternoon that after a long delay, construction works began for the Tingloy Circumferential Road last Friday.
“The circumferential road will improve mobility of people, goods, and services within the town and surrounding areas,” she added.
The project which has a total length of 31.473 kilometers is expected to be completed in 2029 at the cost of PHP2.1 billion.
Luistro noted that once completed, the road network will connect all the 15 villages of Tingloy, “leading the way towards efficient, sustainable shipping solutions while setting new standards in cargo safety and intake.”
The said project is funded through the infrastructure program of the lawmaker and carried out by the Department of Public Works and Highways. (PNA)
