Mamburao water levels on ‘red alert’ status

Mamburao, Occidental Mindoro – The Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) of Mamburao, and the Armed Forces of the Philippines Reserve Command (ARESCOM) 407th Ready Reserve Infantry Battalion (RRIBN) conducted an inspection of the Armado River in Tuguilan, Mamburao, and the Pagbahan River.

During the inspection, it was found that the water level in the Pagbahan River is currently on RED Alert, prompting authorities to advise residents to evacuate should the river continue to rise.

With the ongoing monitoring of water levels, local authorities are closely coordinating to ensure the safety and well-being of the communities residing near the rivers. The collaboration between PDRRMO, MDRRMO – Mamburao, and ARESCOM 407 RRIBN demonstrates their proactive approach in mitigating potential risks brought about by the rising water levels.

Residents in the affected areas are urged to remain vigilant and to heed the instructions of local officials to ensure their safety. The PDRRMO and MDRRMO – Mamburao are closely monitoring the situation and are prepared to provide necessary assistance should the need arise.
